 Hertford County | August 2026August active inventory was 44 listings versus 35 a year earlier, with 16 new listings compared with eight. Median days on market fell from 106 to 58, while median asking price declined 7.1% to $195,000. The figures suggest more choice alongside shorter listing times, but the August 2026 source quality flag warrants caution in interpreting these changes. |  Gates County | August 2026August active inventory was 20 listings versus 29 a year earlier, and median days on market fell from 68 to 45. New listings held at eight. A smaller selection makes preparation valuable for buyers. Median asking price fell 6.3% to $299,900; listing mix can affect this figure.
